The Windsor of Savoy
The Windsor of Savoy is proud to offer the following services and amenities to our residents.
All are included in the monthly fee except those marked with an asterisk (*).
Activities and Programs
The Activities Coordinator fills a monthly calendar with a variety of activities
including exercise classes, seminars, card games, movies and trips to community events.
Other entertainment choices include billiards, crafts and music. Residents may access the
Internet and e-mail via our communal computers.
Apartment Sitting
Upon request, staff members will water plants and collect mail and newspapers while
you are away.
Automobile Service
Jump starting of automobiles may be arranged through the front desk.
Banking Facilities
Busey Bank and Main Street Bank & Trust are available at The Windsor once a week for
an array of personal banking services.
*Beauty and Barber Shop
A professional hair stylist serves residents from a complete salon located in
the Commons. Manicures and pedicures are also available.
Beverage and Coffee Service
Fresh juice and coffee are served 24 hours a day in the Commons.
*Catering
The parties you plan in the beautiful private dining room, in your apartment home,
or in the community areas may be catered by our Dining Services staff.
Change/Check Cashing
Resident Services staff is available to cash small personal checks or to make
change during regular office hours.
Chauffeured Transportation
Chauffeured transportation to shopping centers, banks, medical facilities, the
airport and other destinations in Champaign, Urbana and Savoy can be arranged through the
front desk.
Community Services and Events
Information on all community services, current local events and Windsor activities
is available from the Resident Services staff.
Computer and Activity Room
Residents may access the Internet and e-mail via our communal computers. A variety
of games and puzzles are at your disposal.
*Convenience Shop
Our convenience shop stocks a variety of essential grocery and personal items at
reasonable prices.
Dry Cleaning Pick-up and Delivery
Free pick-up and delivery of dry cleaning may be conveniently arranged through the
front desk.
Exercise and Fitness
Classes are offered daily. To help you stay strong and healthy, a variety of
exercise equipment is available in The Windsor fitness center.
*Garages
In addition to well-lit parking for residents and guests, accessible garage parking
is also available.
Garden Plots
For any residents who desire them, sunny, prepared garden plots with convenient
access to water are available on the grounds.
Gazebo
An airy gazebo for picnic lunches or relaxation is a focal point of the beautifully
landscaped grounds.
Health & Wellness
A registered nurse is available to confer with residents regarding health related
issues. The nurse also provides specific times for blood pressure checks and other
wellness monitoring activities. Educational wellness sessions are offered throughout the
year.
Housekeeping
Service is provided to residents weekly. *More frequent visits are easy to arrange.
Library
The library is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy our broad collection of reading
materials, including large print books, books on tape and a variety of periodicals.
Linen Service
Residents supply their own bed linens. Our housekeeping staff will launder your
sheets and make your bed up fresh weekly.
Meal Service
Continental breakfast and a delicious evening meal with a variety of menu choices
served in our beautifully appointed dining room Monday through Saturday. Sundays:
Continental breakfast and an expansive brunch. No tipping!
*(Apartment deliveries are available in cases of illness at a nominal fee.)
Pharmacy
Free pick-up and delivery of prescriptions are easily arranged through the front
desk.
Pond with Fountain
The pond is just one of the highlights of The Windsor’s grounds. Relax and
enjoy the elegant swans as they swim gracefully on the pond.
Postage Services
Postage needs are easily handled at the front desk.
Private Dining Room
Reserve our private dining room with its elegant décor and superior service for
those special occasions.
Resident Office Area
A variety of office equipment is available for resident use, including fax machine,
photocopier, paper shredder and more.
*Short-term Health Care
We can assist you in arranging home care for temporary illness.
Storage
Extra storage space is available for little-used items such as holiday decorations
and luggage.
Utilities
All utilities, except for telephone and cable TV, are included in your monthly fee.
Valet Parking
Valet parking is available through the front desk.
